On Trend

Blended Eclectic Style

What we have been seeing for a while now is the growing trend away from the all-white finish and the uniform hardware not just only in our kitchens but the just white wall and lighter toned furnishing. To more darker, moody tones on some our walls and furnishings. We are now looking for ways to infuse our space with more organic materials, more live energy ( plant life) or for those looking for no maintenance a feel of it. white walls are now adorned with not only artwork but have become a statement itself with  texture. People in general are more complex so of course their home should reflect that. Which is why home interiors are more complexity of eclectic or at the least blended sense of style.

Eclectic or Blended style

This "style" speaks to more people taste then just one particle style since people are more complex due to cultural influences or simply there is more then one person living in the space.

Feature Wall Textures

Interesting architectural feature that brings interest to walls is ship lapped, wood paneling and for that clean smooth look a beautiful lime wash is excellent especially when featuring art work.

Moody/Live Energy

Fabrics are great ways to strike that moody vibe without always applying those colors to your wall.

Live energy is created with leafy greens potted in organic pot strategically placed in interior space.

Color Kitchen Cabinets

Black

Think a little black dress or a black suit! Keep everything else clean line and simple. Cabinets should be matte black preferably a shaker or a flat profile. keep in mind there is now a variety of shaker profiles. Mixing the black cabinet with other lighter tone cabinets instantly keeps the room light and bright.

Hunter Green

The green cabinets we speak of lean to the more muted side of the color spectrum. If you feel the color is a little too bold, use it as an accent or pair it equally with a more natural-like finish. For example a whitewashed oak or a painted maple. Think earthy and organic when thinking of this palette.

natural-like

There are those who need more a calming clean organic feel in their kitchen. If you are one of those people, the ongoing trend of whitewashed oak, natural oak, or driftwood finish is your palette. This is a classic and can be paired with any color.
